Machine Operator

Our clientspecialise in timber material production, including pallets, shipping materials, warehouse decking / racking systems and custom timber projects. Having been established since 1945, they have grown to be a very well-known company within the industry.
Opening their Buckingham branch in 2011 and investing £4 million into the development of this site, it is now a crucial hub for them with extremely modern technology and equipment allowing them to conquer the industry of timber products. As part of their on-going expansion, they are currently recruiting more staff to join their team, working alongside current staff members to continue their growth and take the business to new heights.
Job Description:
The Employment Group is currently working in partnership with a well-known, national timber supplier in the Buckingham area. They are looking to take on new staff to support their continued growth within the industry and are looking for experienced machine operators who desire a career change or to pursue a career into the timber industry.
As a production line machine operator, you will be a crucial member of the team, ensuring product quality is at its best, assisting with the manufacturing of timber products and completing other warehouse related duties as per requirements.
This role is suited to someone looking for a career within the industry. With the company’s growth, there are multiple avenues for career progression, including FLT, Driving and even management positions if desired.
Your responsibilities as a Machine Operator include:
- You will be working either independently and/or as a part of a team running and overseeing different sections of the production line,
- Making sure the production output meets the desired targets and the machine runs smoothly.
- Maintaining a clean and organised area to keep within health and safety guidelines
- Monitor machine operations to ensure they meet production specification and quality standards
The requirements as a Machine Operator include:
- Previous experience as a machine operator, especially within a timber of wood environment is desirable
- Proficiency in operating and adjusting various production machinery
- Strong attention to detail to ensure the quality and accuracy of the produced products
Shift Times:
Monday - Thursday 07:00 - 17:00
Friday 07:00 - 11:00
PAY RATES:
£12.21per hour
£15.26per hour - Friday Overtime
£18.32per hour - Saturday Overtime
