Our client specialises in timber material production, including pallets, shipping materials, warehouse decking / racking systems and custom timber projects. Having been established since 1945, they have grown to be a very well-known company within the industry.
Opening their Buckingham branch in 2011 and investing £4 million into the development of this site, it is now a crucial hub for them with extremely modern technology and equipment allowing them to conquer the industry of timber products. Job Description:
Our client, a well-established and reputable timber supplier based in Buckingham, is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Driver to join their growing team. This is a crucial role that involves supporting the efficient operation of their warehouse and manufacturing processes, with a primary focus on the safe handling, transportation, and storage of timber products. The successful candidate will play a key part in maintaining the flow of operations, ensuring products are moved efficiently and safely while upholding the company's high standards of quality and safety.

Your responsibilities as a Forklift Driver include:
- Forklift Operation: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport timber products within the warehouse and between various operational areas.
- Inventory Control: Assist with inventory management by moving materials to designated storage areas, conducting stock counts, and ensuring products are accurately tracked and labeled.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain a well-organized warehouse, ensuring that products are stored properly and safely to maximize space and maintain smooth workflows.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all company safety guidelines and operational procedures to minimize risk and maintain a safe working environment. Conduct regular checks on forklifts and other equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Stock Movement: Move materials and products as needed between the warehouse, production areas, and shipping zones, ensuring the timely flow of goods through the supply chain.
The requirements as a Forklift Driver include:
- Valid Forklift License: The candidate must hold a current, valid forklift license (counterbalance or reach truck), and have experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Experience: Previous experience in operating forklifts or in a warehouse environment is preferred, ideally with a background in handling heavy materials or timber products.
- Health & Safety Knowledge: A strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols, health and safety regulations, and safe operating practices is essential to ensure a safe working environment.
- Attention to Detail: The ability to identify and handle products carefully, ensuring accuracy in inventory management and preventing damage to goods during handling.
- Physical Fitness: The role involves manual handling and lifting of heavy materials, so candidates should be in good physical condition and able to meet the physical demands of the job.
Shift Times:
Monday - Thursday 07:00 - 17:00
Friday 07:00 - 11:00
PAY RATES:
£12.50 - £18.75 per hour
Start Dates / Induction Process:
Immediate starts available. Interviews will be held for the correct candidates to assess experience and fit within the company. Upon completion you will then be offered shifts depending on requirements.
