Job Description:
We’re excited to offer an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company based in Banbury, known for its commitment to quality and operational excellence. Our client is looking for Warehouse Operatives to join their dynamic team. This role offers the chance to play a key part in the day-to-day operations of a busy and thriving warehouse, ensuring that products are efficiently stored, handled, and dispatched to meet the needs of their customers.
As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll be directly involved in the core warehouse functions, including picking and packing customer orders, loading and unloading delivery vehicles, and maintaining accurate stock levels. Your role will be hands-on, fast-paced, and varied, requiring you to work efficiently and safely, ensuring products are stored correctly and orders are prepared to the highest standard.
You’ll be working with a dedicated team, all focused on achieving targets while maintaining an emphasis on quality and safety. The job is physical, and attention to detail is key, as you’ll need to ensure that orders are processed accurately and within set deadlines. In addition to your daily tasks, you’ll help maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

Your responsibilities as a Warehouse Operative include:
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring all items are handled with care.
- Maintain accurate stock levels, performing regular stock checks and ensuring proper inventory management.
- Assist with the organisation and storage of products in the warehouse, ensuring they are stored safely and easily accessible.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and forklifts (training provided where necessary).
The requirements as a Warehouse Operative include:
- Comfortable working in an environment where raw meat products are handled daily.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, food production, or logistics setting is beneficial but not essential.
- Ability to work in a chilled environment for extended periods.
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling tasks safely.
- High attention to detail, particularly when picking and packing food items.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to follow strict hygiene, food safety, and health and safety protocols at all times.
Shift Times:
Mon - Thurs [10:00am - 15:30]
Optional Sundays [10:00 - 15:30]
PAY RATES:
This role is paying £12.21 per hour
Start Dates / Induction Process:
Upon application you will be expected to attend a site tour of the depot, you will be shown your work stations and participate in an induction with other applicants. Successful completion of this will see you being offered an ongoing role relating to your choice of shift.
