Job Description:

The Employment Group is pleased to be working with a new client in the manufacturing sector, supporting their recruitment efforts for Production Operatives at their modern facility in Banbury. This partnership marks the beginning of an exciting collaboration with a well-established plastic injection moulding specialist known for delivering high-quality solutions to a wide range of sectors including automotive, medical, electronics, and general engineering.

You will be responsible for assisting in the smooth running of the production line, operating machinery, conducting quality checks, and packaging finished products ready for dispatch. Full training will be provided, and this role is ideal for individuals who are hands-on, reliable, and looking to grow within a well-supported production setting.

This role represents an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking long-term work within a clean, structured, and forward-thinking production environment. As a Production Operative, you will play an essential role in supporting the end-to-end manufacturing process. You’ll be working with a range of moulded components, ensuring all output meets precise quality and safety standards while contributing to a high-efficiency, team-oriented operation.

Your responsibilities as a Production Operative include:

  • Operate injection moulding machines and support equipment safely and efficiently
  • Remove, inspect, and trim plastic moulded parts according to quality standards
  • Carry out visual and basic dimensional checks to ensure product compliance
  • Accurately count, pack, and label finished goods for dispatch
  • Maintain a clean and organised workstation in line with health & safety protocols
  • Report any machine faults or quality issues to the production supervisor promptly
  • Follow work instructions and production targets to meet operational deadlines
  • Assist with general housekeeping and team support as required

The requirements as a Production Operative include:

  • Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or assembly environment (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining product quality
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts and occasional overtime as required
  • Punctual, reliable, and a positive team player with a good work ethic
  • Able to follow instructions and health & safety procedures at all times

Shift Times:

06:00 - 14:00

37.5 hours per week (30min unpaid break)

PAY RATES:

This role is paying £12.21 per hour

Start Dates / Induction Process:

Immediate starts available. Inductions taking place including site tours and teaching you process and procedures of the company and workload.
