Job Description:
We’re working closely with a leading food logistics provider in Banbury to recruit an experienced Forklift Driver to support their busy warehouse operation. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy, safety, and efficiency.
In this role, you’ll be a key part of the warehouse team, responsible for safely moving stock across the site using a forklift truck. Your day-to-day tasks will include loading and unloading vehicles, transporting pallets to designated storage areas, replenishing stock for order pickers, and supporting goods-in and dispatch operations.
Working in a chilled warehouse where raw meat is handled, it’s essential that you’re comfortable in this environment and can follow hygiene and safety protocols at all times. You’ll play a vital role in keeping things moving, making sure goods are stored correctly and that deadlines are met without compromising on quality or safety.
This role is ideal for someone with forklift experience who’s looking to join a reliable employer and be part of a supportive, well-organised team. You’ll be relied on to keep operations flowing and will be valued for your attention to detail, safety-first mindset, and work ethic.
Your responsibilities as a Forklift Driver include:
- Safely operate a forklift truck to move, stack, and store goods within the warehouse.
- Load and unload vehicles efficiently while ensuring all items are handled with care.
- Support goods-in and dispatch operations, ensuring all materials are moved to the correct locations.
- Replenish stock to designated pick areas to support continuous order fulfilment.
- Perform daily equipment checks and report any faults or safety concerns immediately.
- Follow all site safety rules, hygiene procedures, and warehouse protocols.
- Maintain accurate stock movement records and ensure all documentation is completed correctly.
The requirements as a Forklift Driver include:
- Must hold a valid, in-date National Forklift License (Counterbalance and/or Reach).
- Proven experience operating a forklift in a busy warehouse or logistics environment.
- Comfortable working in chilled conditions and with raw meat products — essential due to the nature of the stock.
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures, particularly in relation to forklift operation.
- Excellent spatial awareness and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
