Deputy Logistics Manager – Bicester


Our client, a growing technology based company situated in Bicester, are currently recruiting for an experienced Deputy Logistics Manager to join their team at their brand new site.

The Role:

Main duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Arranging and overseeing sub-contracted operations and communicating with the sub-contractor

  • Liaising with suppliers and procuring consumables and raw materials

  • Processing customer orders and producing the correct matching paperwork using SAGE 200 production software

  • Receiving and booking in all Goods In deliveries, along with arranging export shipping ensuring all correct documentation accompanies it

  • Providing regular performance reports to management, along with attending and contributing to team meetings

  • Updating computer systems with all material movements and continually working to improve this

  • Planning production cycles and ensuring customer delivery requirements are met

  • Providing scheduling information to management and customers and providing updates when required

  • Maintaining minimum and maximum stocks of all consumables and components, along with completing all despatch paperwork

  • Ensure all health and safety policies and procedures are met at all times


As Deputy Manager you will work closely with the production team and all other departments to ensure the smooth movement of products. You will ensure all relevant and correct paperwork, instructions and planning is communicated across departments and fed through to the US based team where required. This role also has the benefit of being split between an office and production environment.


The Person

The successful candidate will have the following skills and knowledge:

  • Previous experience of production and manufacturing processes

  • Be at an intermediate level using Microsoft Office programmes and have good verbal and written communication skills

  • Be logically thinking, be able to work to tight timescales and be able to work unsupervised (after training)

  • Be able to multitask and prioritise work loads


Hours: Monday – Friday 08:00 – 16:30

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: Dependent on skills and experience
