Finishing Operator – Thame

My client, a well established printing company based in Thame is currently recruiting for a Finishing Operator. Under general direction from the Manager you will be expected to perform a variety of technical and support services involving production operations.  These responsibilities will include operating finishing machinery. 

 The Role:

Main duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Preparing a range of machines ready to print
• Checking throughout your shift the quality of the products the machines are producing
• Identifying machine faults and alerting the Manager if you are unable to resolve them
• Following the schedule of work given and ensuring running times of jobs are set up correctly
• Monitoring stock levels of materials needed and placing order requests with Production Manager when required

The Person:

The successful candidate must be able to:

• Follow and make strict deadlines and time schedules
• Be able to keep calm under pressure and have good problem solving techniques
• Have a good level of spoken and written English due to having constant communication with members of the team
• Full training will be given to use specialist printing equipment
• A willingness to learn new skills and progress within a company

Hours: Rotating shift pattern of Monday – Friday 06:00 – 14:00 and Monday – Thursday 14:00 – 00:00

Pay: £16,640 per annum, rates to be increased after 6 month and 12 month reviews

Start Date: Immediate

Previous experience desired, but not essential as full training will be provided
