One of the UK’s leading food manufacturing companies is looking for a Training Coordinator to join their Management Team. My client believes in driving sustainable, profitable growth through the power of their people. They are looking for someone to grow and foster employee capital and train all new staff in their Witney factory.

 

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • The jobholder will be required to assess job skills and organise the training as required for colleagues within in the Packing Centre.

  • Deliver training as required to ensure compliance with health and safety, food safety and audit compliance.

  • Ensure all Inductions, including Mandatory paperwork and Company standard induction, are completed for all employees.

  • To create Nexus and Basic food hygiene logons.  Create all in house training certificates as and when required.

  • Ensure all operatives are trained on relevant work instructions and risk assessments for the tasks they are carrying out.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive training matrices and training files are up-to-date and accurately reflects current competencies.

  • Identify training needs and gap analysis for all areas of the Packing Centre, and identify and deliver a plan to ensure all training is delivered in a timely, effective manner.

  • Review competencies and refresher training periodically to ensure all colleagues are in date.

  • Identify potential talent within the team and highlight this to the Management Team.

  • Assist the Management Team in focusing training to deliver the key performance indicators (KPIs) for the department.

  • Assist the Management Team with performance management as required.

  • Identify areas of inefficiency and waste, and suggest improvements to the Management Team.

  • The site is committed to being “audit-ready” at all times. Therefore it is imperative that site hygiene, health & safety, and document control are all in line with customer specifications at all times.

  • Organise and manage external and internal training providers, ensuring all training is delivered to the required standard in a timely manner, and that all external training is approved by your Line Manager prior to booking.

  • Carry out internal audits as required.

  • Maintain a respectful and constructive working relationship with colleagues and managers.

  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by Management.

 

Training and Education:

The jobholder may be expected to complete and deliver training, including but not limited to the following areas. The requirements will be dependent on the jobholder’s previous experience, knowledge, qualifications, and the demands of the specific activities. Full training will be given as required;

  • Health and Safety

  • Food handling/hygiene                          Customer specific requests

  • Manual handling                                    Fork truck operations

  • Works Instructions                                 Risk assessments        

    Physical demands:

    The production process requires manual handling to an estimated maximum of 14 kilos. The bed-end process requires repetitive bending. Other activities may require movement in confined spaces. Several areas require the use of manual pallet trucks. The jobholder should have a reasonable level of fitness and should report any conditions that may be aggravated by the required activities.

  • Salary: £20 300-£20 800 per annum

  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30-17:00
