Accounts Assistant – Oxford up to £22,000

Our client, based in central Oxford is currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant to cover maternity leave

The Role:

The prime aspect of the role will be to provide support to the Accounts Manager. Main duties will include:

  • Printing previous days bank statements from the online banking system for client, office and trust bank accounts. This will include inputting bank statements onto the practice software package

  • Carrying out daily bank reconciliations ensuring all information matches correctly, running daily routine reports , transaction processing for payment requests, receipts, bills and card payment for all offices and checking sufficient funds are available

  • Processing bills as and when received into finance, filing processed payments and receipt vouchers and ensuring reports for fee earners are distributed towards the end of each month. This will also include processing transfers on time and funds from one ledger to another as and when requested

  • Cancelling checks on practice software and at the bank when required

The Person:

The ideal candidate will have experience using databases, confident in IT, have previous experience in a similar role and have experience in cash handling/transactions

Hours: Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:00

Pay: £20,000 - £22,000

Job Type: Maternity Cover

Start Date: Immediate
