WAREHOUSE AND PRODUCTION OPERATIVES
Our client, a well-established National Food Distributer are currently recruiting for experienced Warehouse and Production Operatives to join their team. As part of a team, you will be trained to undertake several roles within the production and warehouse environment. Your main duties will include, but not be limited to:
Picking or Packing
Following processes and working as a team to ensure the end product is packed correctly and ready for distribution
Undertaking quality inspections
Following guidelines to establish quality grade of products
Being proactive ensuring the work area is kept clean and tidy
Be aware of food hygiene standards at all time
Ensuring all health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times
Try to achieve personal as well as team targets
Identifying areas of waste and make any suggestions to improve waste to your line manager
Ability to work at heights
Stock control, you may be required to count, record and report stock levels
You may also be asked to lead a team of operatives should you show willing and aptitude.
QC Operative - Electric Pump Truck experience – Must be comfortable working at height
Production Operatives – Keeping an eye on production, ensuring the process is running smoothly.
Robot Room Operative – Use of PC to control equipment
Controller – Able to work at speed, with management experience
Packaging Operative – Forklift experience, good level of physical fitness
Warehouse Operatives – Picking experience, can handle a target orientated environment
QA Technician – Working with computers installed with Microsoft packages, pay attention to detail.
Lead Operative - Team leader similarities, overseeing the operations
All of the above positions are connected through a progression scheme where if targets are reached, candidates can be promoted to another role. They will be given training if they have shown application and success in their early stages of the company.
Successful candidates have:
Previous experience within a warehouse or production environment
Excellent attention to detail
Have a good level of spoken and written English.
Ideally you will have your own transport due to the client’s remote location
A willingness for advancement within their own role and the company
Experience in quality inspection, warehouse, food production, machine monitoring or an understanding of robots would be a beneficial advantage.

Pay rate: £8.73- £10.05
Job type: Permanent / Temporary – Permanent (3 months’ probation period)
A: Monday, Tuesday, Friday (0600-1630)
B:Saturday, Sunday (0600-1800), Wednesday and Thursday (0600-1730)
C: Monday, Tuesday, Friday (1630-0100), Wednesday and Thursday (1730-0100)
