Distribution Team Leader – Bicester 

Our client, an international company based in Bicester are currently recruiting for an experienced Distribution Team Leader to join their team.

The Role:

Main duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Managing a large team of people within the UK ROC Distribution Centre and being the first point of contact in the Distribution Manger’s absence

  • Review KPI’s and analyse reports, records and directives and discuss these reports with Mangers to plan daily activities such as problems encountered and status of works in progress, along with posting KPI results daily 

  • Ensure a safe work environment is maintained at all times and ensure that all health and safety procedures are adhered to

  • Ensuring that training and developments of all Warehouse Operatives is regularly maintained and that daily work schedules are set, tracked and monitored

  • Participate in site training and attending meetings on behalf of the department, ensuring the correct analytical data is presented

  • Give work direction, resolve problems and set deadlines. You will also be responsible for monitoring permanent and temporary staff attendance

  • Communicate regularly with the Distribution Centre Manager, review productivity and employee issues, and conduct HR related employee issues. This could include investigations and stages of disciplinary procedures

  • Lead the Distribution Centre team to ensure a high level of customer service and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of colleagues

  • Ensuring all Salesforce errors are updated within the agreed internal SLA and fully investigated

The Person:

The successful candidate will have excellent IT Skills and be confident using Microsoft Office systems, have exceptional communication skills, have previous experience within a similar supervisory role and be process and goal oriented. This is a hands on role, so you will be expected to contribute within the warehouse as well as completing office based work. You must also be able to demonstrate examples of problem solving using the STAR methodology and have excellent attention to detail

Hours: Monday – Thursday 09:00 – 18:00 and Friday’s 09:00 – 17:30

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: Negotiable dependent on experience
